Food and Drink

The Historic Tamarack Lodge has always had a welcome at the ready for passers by and visitors to our area. From its origins as a visitor center to Glacier National Park, through its many years as an inn, it has offered hospitality to everyone and continues to do so.

We are happy to continue the tradition and ensure we keep the homefires burning for our guests throughout the year.

Off The Beaten Path offers a coffee bar, saloon, restaurant and gift shop to meet the needs of visitors to our area and locals looking for a place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Relax in the lodge Great Room with a Montana Coffee Traders specialty coffee.  Choose a dark, brooding Americano, a light and fluffy espresso or a regular latte.  We have a selection of flavored syrups to customize your drink and tempt your tastebuds.  Add a warm cinnamon roll, cookie or muffin to start your day whilst you plan your next outing using our selection of maps and guidebooks, or simply relax and enjoy the ambience of mountain living.

In our gift shop area we have a selection of Made in Montana goodies such as Huckleberry Haven Wild Huckleberry Jam  as well as mugs, children’s gifts and various souvenirs of your stay.  Why not spread the love and take a little piece of Montana home for your nearest and dearest?

The Saloon at the The Tamarack is now open every day serving beer, wine and spirits.  Sit back and enjoy the sunset with a locally brewed beer or pale ale, or wake up your morning with a Bloody Mary.  Enjoy a chilled bottle of wine in your cabin or grab a six-pack for refreshment on the trail.

Oso’s Smokin’ BBQ will serve you from their selection of delicious smoked meats, sizzlin’ sides and out of this world Huckleberry Cheesecake.

Find them at the Lodge 7 days a week from 5:30pm – 9:30pm until Sept 20th.  Reservations are needed after 9:30.

From Oct 3rd the restaurant will be serving dinner Friday and Saturday night and Sunday brunch through the winter.
