Downhill skiing is one of the top winter activities in our area and with good reason!  With pristine, crowd-free slopes and family-friendly resorts, our corner of northwest Montana offers a unique opportunity for a low cost, high quality winter holiday.

Whitefish Mountain Resort – 30 mins drive

Take a tour with one of Whitefish Mountain’s Mountain Ambassadors and discover which trails and amenities fit your needs.  With 3,000 acres of terrain to choose from, you might need their expert advice, hints and tips!

Book a Learn to Ski package for $72 (includes two half-day lessons, two days lift tickets, and two days of equipment rentals) or improve your skills on the slopes with a private lesson.

Don’t forget the kids!  Whitefish Mountain offers daycare at their Kids Center in the Base Lodge including Ski and Play Sessions for ages 3-6.

Blacktail Resort – 40 mins drive

A smaller, family-friendy resort set in 1000 acres of National Forest, Blacktail has an average annual snowfall of 250″ and offers 15% Beginner slopes, 70% Intermediate and 15% Expert.
