Mountain Biking Glacier National Park

May 24th, 2013 by teresa

Cycle MontanaWhether you bring your own bikes or rent from those available at the lodge, there are plenty of choices for great biking adventures in our area.

Choose from family-friendly, flat and easy, such as the McDonald Creek Bike Path running 2 miles from West Glacier to Apgar Visitor Center within Glacier National Park.  Enjoy the park scenery from the North Fork Road – a gravel road running 14 miles from Polebridge to Kintla Lake.  Go the extra mile (or six!) when you take a side trip to Bowman Lake.  Or, for the ultimate Glacier National Park experience, ride the Going to the Sun Road.  Time your ride to coincide with the full moon to get a once in a lifetime experience and avoid the restrictions on bicycles within the park.

Nearby Whitefish Mountain Resort offers 20 miles of mountain trails with lift access, or explore the Flathead National Forest right on our doorstep. Bikes, helmets and cycle racks for your car are available to rent from the lodge as follows:
2hr … $8.00
6hr … $14.00
12hr … $25.00
Bike carrier $25.00
